Laura Umansky is an award winning interior designer who brings her signature aesthetic to luxury residences. At Laura U, Inc. she leads a talented team focusing on turn-key, whole-home, interior design solutions. She received her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Houston and her BA from the University of Texas at Austin. Laura is an Allied Member of ASID and an Associate Member of AIA. When she’s out of the studio, Laura can be found spending time with her husband, Michael, and twin daughters, Liv and Ryan.

Meredith Sanders, a South Louisiana native, began her design career over 12 years ago in New Orleans and has since designed many award winning luxury residential and commercial interiors. Over the years her designs have been featured in numerous publications across the country. Meredith’s superb attention to detail and desire for great design are the essential elements behind her work on each project. She always strives to create spaces that reflect the client’s lifestyles and exceed their expectations.
Senior Interior Designer
Letecia Ellis is a dynamic interior designer specializing in fine international residences. She holds the honor of being elected President Elect of the American Society of Interior Designers, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter (2014-2015 President). Letecia was awarded a Bachelor of Art degree in Interior Design from Sam Houston State University and has been in the industry for 10 years. She is versed in new construction and renovation projects and is currently designing fabulous homes in Houston and Saudi Arabia.
Jillian Flynn began her design career working for the largest architecture & design firm in the world. Since then, she has designed many high-end residential and commercial interiors both domestically & internationally. Jillian leverages her unique background & extensive design experience with every project, allowing her to strike the right balance between creativity, style and practicality. Along with her dynamic design team at Studio U, she creates interiors that are suited to her clients’ lifestyles and exceed expectations. Jillian received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design from The University of Texas at Austin. Jillian is an NCIDQ and LEED ID+C certificate holder.
Blair, a native-Houstonian, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from Baylor University. During her time at Laura U, she has honed her skills and utilized her keen design sense, as well as her empathetic nature, to successfully complete projects for clients in Houston, Nashville, and Denver. Her goal is to gain a detailed and personal understanding of the clients’ needs in order to deliver unparalleled interiors. Blair is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers.
Michelle Stream moved to Houston from Boulder, where she studied commercial interior design at the Art Institute of Colorado. After discovering her true passion for residential interiors, Michelle received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Houston. Michelle continues to gain experience in luxury residential with the Laura U team. She is an Allied Member of ASID and currently serves on the board for American Society of Interior Designers, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter, as Membership Director (2014-2016).
Prior to graduating with her degree in Interior Design, Shenay Keyes was awarded a prestigious academic scholarship from the Lubrizol Foundation & was an active member of the San Jacinto College student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers. She was thrilled to join Studio U, after perfecting her design and drafting skills working as an Assistant Interior Designer at Laura U Interior Design.
Caroline Milhaupt moved to Houston from London, where she obtained her Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. Her Master’s Thesis focused on exploring the important relationship between interior design and fine art collections. Prior to this, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Art History from The University of South Carolina, where she focused on post-war contemporary art. She is excited to put her extensive education into practice as a Design Assistant at Laura U!
