December Delights: What We Love This Month

Well, we made it! Here we are in the home-stretch of 2016. As always, December has been filled with holiday planning, festive celebrations and a whirlwind of client installs as we wrapped-up projects in time for our clients to show off their new interiors during the holidays.

With our big end-of-year projects complete, now is the time when our team takes some well-deserved time off to relax and get re-inspired for the new year, and, this month, we found plenty of things to keep our creative wheels turning into 2017!

From pieces inspired by famed French artists to eclectic wall coverings, here are the fab new finds we couldn’t get enough of in December.

Small Scale Polka Dots

I am loving small scale dots right now! They bring a chic, playful attitude to everything they cover. In particular, I have my eye on the Freckle face carpet from Prestige Mills and Kate Spade Confetti wallpaper through Kravet! – Laura Umansky, President and Creative Director

The Selah Cocktail Table from Hable for Hickory Chair

Functionality + Art = THE BEST COCKTAIL TABLE EVER! This table is graphic, yet beautiful and the scale is on point. I need this in my life!  In fact, after seeing this piece at High Point Market this past fall, I’ll take every piece from the Hable Collection from Hickory Chair. Letecia Haywood, Principle Designer

Yves Klein ‘Table Bleue’

I’ve been obsessed with Yves Klein since studying art history in Paris and seeing an amazing Yves Klein Blue exhibit in Aspen last year. I just presented this iconic Yves Klein ‘Table Bleue’ for a classically contemporary home project and I’m obsessed! The table design features International Klein Blue pigment encased in glass and Plexiglas on a wood and steel frame. French artist, Yves Klein, created and patented the ultramarine color known as International Klein Blue (IKB) in the 60s, and this table in the distinctive color is a collectible piece of modern art for the home. – Shannon Smith, Associate Interior Designer

Phillip Jeffries Wall Covering

I am currently obsessing over anything and everything Phillip Jeffries!  They have mastered the art of specialty wall coverings. Their collections cover everything you could possibly imagine – from metallic grass cloth, stunning silks, hammered metallics, and handsome wools- they are on point with each design. I stumbled upon a pattern in particular, Vinyl Stingray in color Blue Crush, which I cannot wait to incorporate into one of my current projects. –  Shenay Keyes, Associate Interior Designer

Hable for La Barge Collection Mirror

I adore this mirror from Hable for La Barge Collection; it’s off beat and eccentric, but manages to maintain its subtlety.  The scale is also fantastic – perfect for a powder bath or over a console at the end of a hallway. – Blair Foster, Interior Designer

interior-design-inspiration Brass Vidal Grau Cosmos Chairs in Nappa Leather

Oh la la, I just LOVE these chairs! They are delicate, feminine, and breathtaking from every angle. The lines are clean and unique, and one on its own makes as much of a statement as the group does together. To top it off, the charming pink leather and brass combination is just gorgeous! – Lexi Fink, Design Assistant

interior-design-chairs There you have it – our last round of obsessions as we close out one year and head into the next! If 2016 is any indication of the creativity to come, I have no doubt that the team will return from the holidays with new-found inspiration and ready to take on the new year full of fresh ideas and strokes of brilliance.
